One of my favorite artists of all times! Love 💕 everything about her and I still rock this album on Tidal.

I was 8 when this album came out and Lauryn’s been my fave artist since I was a teenager (Jersey girls stand up!!!). I went on another deep dive into her + the Fugees after she performed at the BET awards with Wyclef and her son. this was my first time revisiting her/their discography while being older than they were at the time of releasing the music. And wow! the wisdom, talent and craft they had at such young ages is mind blowing. Timeless, like you said, and inspiring.

She did make the MTV Unplugged album long after but it wasn’t an intentional commercial album. She is one of my two predominant female influences that changed my life in and out of musical expression.

I enjoyed this dope reminder. Thank you!

Yes! It’s sad cause technically the unplugged album is her second album but I think everyone wanted another Miseducation. Honestly the fact that the album still holds up is special in

Itself! Now her son is doing his thing, it’s beautiful to see🫶🏽

That second album had a miraculous impact in my household. And I loved that she was so dope with just her guitar and masterful lyrics and soothing melodies. But yeah, the music industry stunted what could have been a long reign of her having hiphop in a chokehold.

You got me listening to the album right now. I appreciate you transporting me back to a magical time.
